The brief called for a distinctively modern weekend house, making the most of dramatic ocean views.

The result is a direct response to the beauty of the site. As a reflection of the rugged coastline, the built form is made up of horizontal planes, with a delicately floating‚‘cloud’ roof, contrasting with the solidity of the ‘stone’ supports.

Timber and glass planes delineate space, indoor and outdoor, mediating private and public access to the site, the dwelling and the ocean beyond.
